Linear Variable Displacement Transducer (LVDT) Calibration

In the aviation industry, linear position sensors are widely used. In order to guarantee reliable Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) service that is recognisable and accepted worldwide, it must have traceable calibration. Linear position sensors, in particular, are used to measure velocity. The performance of its velocity measurement, which has a traceable calibration, is the biggest priority.

We have developed a procedure and calibration setup for performing traceable velocity calibration of linear position sensors at Geoscan Technology Pte Ltd, a calibration laboratory accredited by the Singapore Accreditation Council (SAC). This was achieved in collaboration with the National Metrology Centre. An expanded measurement uncertainty of 1% is what our system is capable of achieving. This would be the WORLD’S FIRST accredited calibration service for the velocity calibration of linear position sensors.
